About

Our mission is to end gun violence through education, youth development and personal action.

"I have decided to stick with love. Hate is too great a burden to bear."

Reverend Doctor Martin Luther King, Jr.

Stand to Oppose (STOP!) Gun Violence began from a personal and painful story, but it is driven from a place of love, respect and the need to do the right thing.

Taylor Simone Hayden, a beautiful and vibrant 25-year-old from Minneapolis, Minnesota, was tragically taken by gun violence on July 23, 2016. While on a weekend trip to Atlanta, she was caught in the crossfire of gunshots between people who held no regard for life.

"Taylor’s passing, at just 25 years old, cut short a promise fundamental to our shared sense of family – the promise that you’d be able to watch the potential of her life unfold," stated United States Senator Amy Klobuchar. "That’s a loss no sibling and no parent should ever know."

Taylor always strived to do the right thing, and that was clear to all of us who knew her. We also know what Taylor would want us to do – work together to make a difference and end gun violence. We invite you to partner with us, donate to the fund, contribute your skills, take action and spread the word. #NotAnotherTaylor

We are in the building phase to meet our mission and purpose. If you would like to be part of the process, either financially or through resources and services, please donate or contact us at tshmemorialfund@gmail.com.
