Every day, 91 Americans are killed by gun violence, whether by accident or intentional.

 

We've seen how gun violence takes many forms across the country – from Atlanta to Minnesota and Texas to Florida. The common factor is that there are far too many families and communities suffering today because their loved ones' lives were senselessly taken.

Some will use moments like this to divide us and say nothing can be done. They couldn't be more wrong. This is a time to unite, to show the strength of our movement and to build towards a future free from gun violence. As Oprah says, this is a time to be a warrior of the light.
